A graduate of Anderson University and Southern Wesleyan University, Donnie has served churches across the upstate of SC for over 30 years.

He joined Townville Baptist as Pastor in 2025.  He also serves as a Chaplain with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, serving in man-made and natural disasters across the United States.

He joined the Oconee County Sheriff Department as a Chaplain in 2011. He has been married to his wife Wendy for 29 years and they have one daughter, Olivia.
